SPECIAL ROYAL RECITAL AT THE CON
Didgeridoo virtuoso William Barton and his Opera Diva mother Delmae will perform a special recital at The Con for Queen Sophia of Spain on Friday.

JIWON IS QUEEN OF THE STRINGS
Sydney Conservatorium of Music masters student, Jiwon Kim, was announced as the winner of the Strings Final for the 2009 ABC Young Performer of the Year award with a stunning violin performance in Brisbane.
Kim, 24, who moved from Melbourne to The Con to specifically study under Associate Professor Alice Waten, played the Sibelius: Violin Concerto to edge out fellow finalists Xenia Deviatkina-Loh, 18, and Katherine Lukey, 28, also students at The Con, and Kana Ohashi, of Victoria.
The award is acknowledged as the country’s most important concerto performance for strings.
