Application forms

Admission to postgraduate courses at the Conservatorium requires an audition and/or interview. The audition/interview form contains further details regarding the process. Please note that this form is included within the international and local application forms.

International applicants must apply to the International Office. The international application form can be obtained from the International Office website: www.usyd.edu.au/internationaloffice/

Local applicants must lodge a coursework application or research application directly with the Conservatorium.

All research applicants should contact the relevant Chair of Unit to discuss their proposed research topic before applying. For contact details, see the website – http://www.music.usyd.edu.au/staff/staff_directory.shtml - or contact Student Administration.

Application deadlines

Applications for Semester 1 2010 are due by 30 October 2009. Please note that applications for Conducting are due by 30 September 2009.

Applications for Semester 2 2010 are due by 30 April 2010.

Late applications may be accepted.

Audition dates for the Semester 1 2010 intake

The main audition period will be the week of 30 November to 11 December 2009.

Two early audition days have also been scheduled for:

• 18 September 2009 (your application must be received by 31 August) and
• 2 October 2009 (your application must be received by 11 September)

After we receive your application, you will be contacted to schedule an audition and/or interview time.

Please note: Candidates applying from overseas may submit a DVD rather than attending a live audition.
