How to apply
To apply for admission to an undergraduate course at the Conservatorium you must apply for an audition and/or interview where you will be required to present the prescribed Conservatorium program to an audition and/or interview panel.
You will also need to apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) and place a Sydney Conservatorium of Music course as at least one of your preferences if you are:
- an Australian citizen or holder of a visa giving permanent residency in Australia at any educational level i.e. a Year 12 student in Australia in any year, an Australian tertiary student or a mature age applicant; or
- a NZ citizen; or
- an international student (i.e. holder of an international student visa) completing their secondary schooling in Australia in the year prior to commencing at university.
Non-UAC International applicants must apply to the International Office. This is required for all non-UAC international applicants (i.e. Australian temporary residents, NZ permanent residents or holders of an international student visa).

Important:
You must apply to the Conservatorium and to UAC to be made an offer to study at the Conservatorium.
If you apply to the Conservatorium but not to UAC we cannot make you an offer.

Scholarships
The Sydney Conservatorium of Music awarded more than 150 merit-based scholarships and prizes in 2009, worth in excess of $1million. The funds are provided by generous donors and benefactors of the Conservatorium and value of each scholarship and prize varies. All applicants, local and international, are considered for these scholarships and awards are based on performance at audition. Students do not need to complete a separate application to be considered for faculty merit scholarships.
