The Sydney Conservatorium of Music has the finest position in the city of Sydney. It is located in Macquarie St, Sydney’s boulevarde of stunning new towering architecture combined with many gracious Sydney Sandstone edifices from our historical past – a street containing the NSW State Library, NSW Parliament House and a number of museums. Nestled into the Royal Botanic Gardens, it is surrounded by this peaceful oasis from the city buzz and a short stroll leads down to the harbour foreshores and the Sydney Opera House.
The Sydney Conservatorium of Music is easy to get to by public transport. The nearest CityRail stations are at Martin Place, Circular Quay and Wynyard. Major bus interchanges are at Circular Quay and Wynyard and the number 200 bus travels from Chatswood to Bondi Junction with a stop in Macquarie Street This is a ‘limited stops’ service and does not run on weekends. City parking is expensive, but there are a number of city car parks close by in Macquarie Street. There is no public parking at the Conservatorium.
