Visiting Artists

The Sydney Conservatorium has hosted many visiting artists over the years. In the earlier years visiting performers have included Fritz Kreisler, Nellie Melba, Yehudi Menuhin, Itzhak Perlman, Alfred Brendel, Aaron Copland, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Luciano Berio among others. Recent guests have included Vladimir Ashkenazy, Stephen Hough, Kronos Quartet, Emma Mathews, John Bolton-Wood, Teddy Tahu-Rhodes, Cheryl Barker and Peter Coleman-Wright.

Visiting artists for 2008 included Malcolm McNeill, Emmanuel Ax, Breet Dean, Philip Langridge, Joe Lovano & John Schofield, Jordi Savall and more.

In 2009 we will host many more amazing artists including William Barton, Claire Edwardes, John Corigliano and Ian Munro among others.
