Arts & Cultural Inquiry

The Arts & Cultural Inquiry unit is responsible for the teaching of Education Studies and Historical and Cultural Studies.

The Education units range from studies in classroom instruction to educational psychology and adolescent development. The purpose of these units is to prepare Music Education students for secondary school teaching.

Historical and Cultural Studies units aim to enhance the professional development of Conservatorium students by developing tertiary-level generic communication and thinking skills and by providing students with a broad historical/cultural framework within which to contextualise their music studies.
