Arts & Cultural Inquiry - Research and Creative Activity
Lecturers in the Arts & Cultural Inquiry unit have research interests in the areas of music performance assessment and practices and in music perception and cognition.
Dr Diane Collins, chair of the unit, is the author of the first full length history of the music school, Sounds from the Stables, The Story of Sydney’s Conservatorium. She is currently working on a study of nineteenth and early twentieth century Australian sound history entitled Acoustic Journeys: Studies in the Aural History of Australia.
