Craig Scott
Craig is also deeply involved in jazz education. He is the Chair of the Jazz Studies Unit at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and coordinator of the Master of Music (Jazz) Degree and frequently gives master classes at other tertiary institutions around Australia and New Zealand. He has also taught for the Jazz Action Society and for Jazzworx! jazz clinics all over Australia. He has recently returned from Boston, U.S.A. where he was invited to be a guest lecturer at Berklee Music School for the IASJ (International Association of Schools of Jazz.) Craig holds a Masters Degree in Music (Jazz Performance) from the Australian National University (Canberra School of Music); and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from the Sydney.
Richard (Dick) Montz
In Australia he has been actively employed in the various musical disciplines such as jazz orchestras, commercial recording, Broadway musicals, opera and ballet, teaching and in directing his own jazz bands as well as ten years as the leader of the Richard Montz Brass Quintet for Musica Viva in performances throughout NSW. and Queensland. He has recently guest conducted for the International Trumpet Guild Conference, taught in Malmö, Sweden at the Malmö College of Music and performed at the International Association of Jazz Educators International Conference. Dick currently teaches both Conservatorium big bands, small jazz ensemble, brass, and early jazz history.
