Enrolment conditions and general information
* Open Academy community courses are suitable for anyone aged 16 or over.
* Courses are offered in consecutive weeks without interruption in 5 or 8 week terms.
* Academy community courses are based on a collaborative group learning format in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Class lesson formats are based on group activities and participation, although some tutors may make time for limited individual contact and consultation during the lesson.
* All classes will naturally have a range of students with varying levels of experience, personal preferences and expectations.
* The Conservatorium Open Academy reserves the right to alter course details if necessary and to refuse enrolment as permitted by law.
*If courses do not reach minimum enrolment numbers, they may be cancelled or postponed. In cases where the course is cancelled, the full course fee will be refunded. This is the only instance where course fees will be refunded.
* If you cannot attend your enrolled course, you may apply for a credit transfer to the full value of the course. Your transfer application must be made in writing before the course commences. This credit will remain valid for the calendar year.
* Courses are held at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Macquarie Street, Sydney.
* There is no parking at the Conservatorium. Public transport (any bus, train or ferry to Wynyard, Circular Quay or Martin Place) is the best option although there is some street parking or parking stations within walking distance.
