EXPLORING MUSIC
Exploring Music is a challenging and non-competitive 12 week course for children who have had some music training or completed the Open Academy’s Introducing Music course.
Based on the Orff-Schulwerk approach, the course will stimulate music skills through movement, speech patterns, singing and improvisation. In a positive and encouraging environment students will develop aural skills, pitch, rhythm and note reading. Participants are encouraged to study an instrument alongside this course.
Enrolment
The course is open to children between the ages of 5 and 7 years who have been at school for at least two terms, who have completed Introducing Music or are already learning an instrument.
