Sound of Sydney in Portraits - An exhibition of works by Ilia Uzunoski

From 19 November to 19 Dec 2008
The exhibition will be on display in the Atrium at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music Opening hours Mon to Sat - 09:00 to 18:00 || ENTRY IS FREE

The end of the Sound of Sydney in Portraits project is being marked by an exhibition and the publication of a book by the same name. As the name of the exhibition suggests, the portraits are of well known musicians from Sydney, each of whom is a maestro in their own chosen musical field, and are differentiated from the rest, by their immense talent.
The portraits are of artists from different musical fields such as: composers, conductors, opera singers, performers, musical professors and other musical professions. The aim of the project is to provide high quality artistic photographs of the major names in the Australian musical society, and through these portraits to introduce and present each musician as an individual.
Sound of Sydney in Portraits is the first such project in Australia, the gathering of portraits of the top musicians of our time, in the one place. The exhibition will be a great manifestation, which will draw lovers of photography and appreciators of music together in the same place.

Including portraits of
Kim Walker, Alexa Still, Danny Herscovitch, Gerard Willems, Paul Rickard-Ford, Cheryl Barker, Peter Coleman-Wright, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Imre Palló, Stephen Mould, Richard Hickox, Richard Gill, Nigel Butterley, Carl Vine, Elena Kats-Chernin, Ross Edwards, Anne Boyd, Peter Sculthorpe, Roger Woodward, James Cuddeford & Natsuko Yoshimoto, Clemens Leske, James Morrison, Judy Bailey and Mike Nock among many other prominent Sydney musicians.
