Join us every Sunday afternoon in June as our guests for these five concerts featuring performances by some of the renowned musicians on the staff of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Broadcast live by ABC Classic FM from Verbrugghen Hall,Sydney Conservatorium of Music and introduced by Marian Arnold

* Please note: tickets are allocated from 1.30pm only on the day of the performance and limited to one ticket per person; available from the box office located in the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Foyer.

GEORG PEDERSON & DANIEL HERSCOVITCH

Danish-born cellist and renowned teacher Georg Pedersen joins Sydney concert pianist and Conservatorium lecturer Daniel Herscovitch for a program featuring music by Fauré and the cello sonatas of Francis Poulenc and the ninety-nine year old Elliot Carter.

THE JUDY BAILEY TRIO

Judy Bailey is widely acclaimed as one of Australia’s pioneering
jazz pianists. Her outstanding trio, comprising bassist Craig Scott
and drummer James Waples, present a delectable mix of original and standard jazz repertoire.

SYDNEY SOLOISTS

The Sydney Soloists is one of Australia’s premier chamber music ensembles. For this program they perform one of Messiaen’s most powerful, spiritual and emotionally charged works, the Quartet for the End of Time.

GOETZ RICHTER & JEANELL CARRIGAN

Acclaimed Sydney violin and piano duo, Goetz Richter and Jeanell Carrigan present a delightful program which includes Prokofiev’s Violin Sonata No 1 in F minor, Op 80 and Brahms’ Violin Sonata No 2 in A, Op 100 and Scherzo in C minor from the F.A.E. Sonata WOO2.

SYDNEY CONSERVATORIUM EARLY MUSIC ENSEMBLE

Directed by Neal Peres Da Costa, the Sydney Conservatorium Early Music Ensemble and vocal soloists perform an all-Bach program, including Brandenburg Concerto No 3 in G, BWV1048, Canon a 4, BWV1074 and the Cantata Ich hatte viel Bekümmernis BWV21
