Professional Development for Teachers

The SCM International Music Summer School invites international instrumental and vocal teachers to accompany students for the duration of the program. Studio teaching can sometimes seem a repetitive activity and we are pleased to offer this opportunity for teachers to gain new ideas and inspirations in student music learning in the one-to-one and small group context.

The fee for teachers covers single room accommodation, meals and all activities. Teachers will also be provided with additional resources such as research papers and other material.

Fees will be waived for music teachers bringing 6 or more students to the SCM International Music Summer School. These teachers will need only to cover their own airfares and incidentals. All teachers will be required to reside at the Women’s College throughout the program and to provide assistance with the supervision of students.
