Symposium Venue
Most activities will be held at Sydney Conservatorium of Music, located in Macquarie Street, surrounded by the Royal Botanic Gardens and just up the road from the Sydney Opera House.
The facilities at Sydney Conservatorium of Music are amongst the finest in the world. Redevelopment of the facilities was completed in 2001 resulting in an architectural masterpiece combining historical elements with the best of modern architecture.

The Conservatorium campus also includes a further two recital halls, a Music Workshop seating 220, more than 100 offices, 53 teaching studios, 63 practice rooms, choral and instrumental rehearsal rooms, and a library with more than 300,000 items. The performance halls are equipped with state-of-the-art IT, multimedia and recording equipment.
Sydney Conservatorium of Music is easily accessible by foot for visitors staying in city hotels, or by public transport. The Sydney Conservatorium of Music is currently negotiating discount rates with major hotels for Symposium visitors. More information will be available in 2009.
