Sydney Conservatorium Chamber Orchestra EUROPEAN TOUR
In September/October 2009 the Sydney Conservatorium Chamber Orchestra will undertake a tour of Europe, performing at an array of leading European institutions.
The 2009 Tour partners are:
- Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, UK
- Conservatoire de Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland
- Conservatorio N. Paganini, Genoa, Italy
- Mozarteum Salzburg, Salzburg, Austria
- Konservatorium Wien University, Vienna, Austria
The 34-member orchestra consists of undergraduate and postgraduate students, selected following a highly competitive audition process. The orchestra will be directed by the Conservatorium’s Head of Conducting and Opera Studies, Prof Imre Pallo.

Sydney Conservatorium Percussion Quartet ASIAN TOUR
The Sydney Conservatorium Percussion Quartet of Daryl Pratt (Chair of Percussion), Joshua Hill, Anna Zeltzer and Andrew Chan will embark on an Asian tour from 26 September to 4 October, 2009. The tour will include masterclasses and performances in Tainan, Hong Kong and Macau.
The program includes several Australian works including two new works by Michael Askill and Gerard Brophy composed especially for this ensemble and their 2009 Asian tour.
