The Executive Senior Officer of the Faculty is the Dean and Principal – Professor Kim Walker.
Student Administration
Specific information relating to enrolment for prospective and current undergraduate students, graduate students, and international students.
Undergraduate Studies
The Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Prof. Anne Boyd, provides guidance and assistance to undergraduate students, as well as assisting with all matters regarding Honours courses. The Student Administration office assists with all matters relating to students’ enrolment in a course – including admissions, student records, enrolment into units of studies relevant to course being undertaken. Academic staff and individual teachers (where relevant) will advise directly on course outlines and requirements.
Graduate Studies
The Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr Kathleen Nelson, provides guidance and assistance to graduate students to determine what course and enrolment selections. The Student Administration office assists with all matter relating to students’ enrolment in a course – including admission, student records, enrolment in unit of studies relevant to course being undertaken.
Faculty Manager
The Faculty Manager, Lynn Greenwood, is a member of the Faculty Executive, providing executive support to the Dean and other senior academic managers through the development of policy and advice, contributing to strategic planning activities and fostering support for and enhancement of the teaching and research, community service and related activities of the Conservatorium.
Technology and Distance Learning
The Associate Dean of Technology and Distance Learning, Hideki Isoda, provides guidance and assistance to the faculty, with all matters regarding technology and e-learning. SCM Staff members may call upon SCM IT office for computer assistance in addition to the University of Sydney’s Technology centre (ITC).
Marketing and Communications
The Marketing and Communications Manager, Scott Saunders, manages the overall marketing and communications activities for the SCM including print and electronic publications, advertising, media and promotional campaigns for concert seasons, student recruitment, development and administration as well as overseeing the operations for all external and internal concerts and events.
Development Office
The Development Office engages private and institutional funding to maximize support for the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s programs and activities so the Sydney Conservatorium of Music is able to fulfil its mission and enhance its pre-eminent position.
Facilities
Responsible for managing all of the school's buildings. SHFA oversee security and cleaning.
Attendants
Responsible for opening venues, installation of instruments and furniture relating to the delivery of learning, teaching, and performance courses as well as special events.
